While I Run This Race: Music of Hope, Dedication and Celebration has been awarded a Bronze Medal in the Contemporary Classical Music division of the Global Music Awards.
Established in 2011, by Thomas Eugene Baker, Ph.D., the Global Music Awards is a well-known international music competition which celebrates independent musicians. Global Music Awards is widely recognized by industry insiders as giving legitimacy to highly talented artists.
The award honors the efforts of the excellent musicians on my recording who have spent hours of preparation to perform my compositions, both in concert and in the recording studio:
Roderick George, tenor
Gail Levinsky, alto saxophone
Jackie Edwards-Henry, piano
Joan McConnell, organ
The Helios Trio:
John Fadial, violin
Beth Vanderborgh, cello
Chi-Chen Wu, piano
This award also honors my engineer, Mark Bunce, who recorded the works on While I Run This Race in a variety of locations. Mark did an even more amazing job back in the studio, editing multiple takes into a final version that brought out the best in everyone! Thanks also to Stephen White and the excellent staff of AMP Recordings who assembled a highly attractive and informative package that houses the recording.
While I Run This Race is available on major streaming platforms. Digital and CD copies of the project are available through AMP Recordings: https://www.amp-recordings.com
